Different social care courses

    Hi,
I'm looking to apply to CAO as a mature student to study social care. I'm a tad confused at all the different titled courses such as
-applied social studies in social care
    -social care practice
-applied social studies (professional social care)
    -social care

I know it's a Social Care Worker I'd like to be and not a Social Worker. Ideally I'd love to work with children and adolescents. I did find a course run by ICHAP at Griffith College Dublin Campus called Childhood and Adolescent Care and Practice. It sounds exactly what I'd like, but would I be shooting myself in the foot by studying such a streamed/focused course?

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated :)
