Media Centre for Digital Signage

So basically, I'm looking at an alternative to buying tv's and media centres from a supplier but he is charging outrageously so a cheaper method is being sought for.

All I need is a media player/centre that would allow me to play a video on loop that's on a USB stick. I've tried plugging in the USB directly into the TV's around the house and it'll only work on Samsung but it's not perfect as it gives a black screen for about 5s after the video is played until it then replays the video.

I had a look around and it appears that, it's only done on media players to do the professional looping and I'm wondering, what media players/centres would do the job really well? Just need a cheap, simple media player that can loop videos 24/7 and has a USB port.

An old pc should do the trick.

Just add the video to windows media player and set it to repeat.

You're only consideration would be how you'd connect it to the target display.

do you need audio? if not the standard VGA serial monitor connection will allow you to connect to pretty much any display as all tvs & projectors have one.

A thirty euro raspberry pi would do the trick easily, completely programmable.
