Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Turbo Tyre problem

    Hi all,
I recently got a turbo trainer and i ordered a turbo tire too which arrived this morning. So i put the new turbo tire on this afternoon and decided to test it out this evening but after just 50 mins of fairly steady turbo riding (with a few intervals thrown in) it completely disintegrated.

There was pieces of rubber all over the floor and the tyre is no more good. It is completely square on top after just 50 mins.

So i'm just wondering - any idea what i did wrong??

I had the tire pressing against the turbo with just enough pressure that it wasn't slipping so unless something got loose i don't think that was the problem. Is this the way i'm supposed to do it? Or should the tyre only barely be touching the turbo?

There was also 110 psi of pressure in the tire.

So if anyone could point out what i might have done wrong, i would really appreciate it. Any recommendations on what kind of replacement turbo tire i should get too? Preferably something long lasting! :pac:

Did you have the tyre to tight against the roller itself, I have use ordinary and turbo specific tyres and have never had an issue
