So, anyone care to explain why the temperature has been rising constantly since the sun went down?
    Altantic cloud again?
They should really issue a weather forecast for here too haha:P

Bloody west Clare weather, always ruining my fun!

things certainly looks good for the west and parts of the midlands. Kerry, west cork, Galway, Mayo, Leitrim and Donegal should do quite well. Some parts could see decent overnight falls.

If Met Eireann are right it's game over for the east unfortunately but the UK met office paint a more promising picture for eastern counties where between 0 and 8cm is possible so hopefully we can join in the fun as well!

If true slightly earlier than anticipated. But then it depends on your altitude above sea level which is?

Judging from that forecast won't be bad at all. We're over reacting here lol

no one is over reacting:) we all know there will only be modest accumulations, which won't last too long, but that's enough for snow deprived addicts. i just wish i was over there to see it:( i hope that guy going up to Knock airport takes some pictures.

Can anyone reporting please put their locations in - not your home address but your town land or county perhaps because it makes it easier round here.

    Very unusual weather.
I am getting heavy rain and a slight rise in temperatures, followed by sleet and hail with a rapid fall in temperatures and now back to heavy rain again with a consistent 4.5c.
