    Looking at Sat24 and it looks like the good stuff is just approaching the northwest now. I wouldn't be surprised if accumulations of snow have been underestimated for parts of the west and midlands for this afternoon and tonight. Looks beefy as all hell.

    Also, very interesting model outputs this morning for longer term cold prospects, looks like the east coast may even get some action from the weekend if the trend toward northerly/north easterly continues

    Could we...could we actually end up getting a snowy January. Sounds absurd in this modern era...but stranger things have happened!!

    Let's toast snow!

    Any other day of my life, I would be thrilled today, and glued to all the weather radar data coming in.

    But if there is any one point in my life I don't want snow, it's this week as my OH is 4 days overdue with our first! and I'm fully aware of the carnage and mayhem just 1cm of sticking snow can do to the country.

    any other day/month/year and I'm "Bring it on"

    (I still am a little bit excited about the snow though, had about 25 minutes of heavy fall this morning)
