Any other day of my life, I would be thrilled today, and glued to all the weather radar data coming in.

But if there is any one point in my life I don't want snow, it's this week as my OH is 4 days overdue with our first! and I'm fully aware of the carnage and mayhem just 1cm of sticking snow can do to the country.

any other day/month/year and I'm "Bring it on"

(I still am a little bit excited about the snow though, had about 25 minutes of heavy fall this morning)

Will they not take her in now? Please call the dr and ask a they will not want an emergency any more than you do.... Blessings and prayers from here!

Mt s weather this morning said very little about any significant snow? Am i missing something with this level 2?

West Athlone about 20 minutes ago.

We have proper Blizzard like conditions out there now, but I wouldn't get away with walking to the window for another picture, lol :D

Very heavy and more prolonged than any shower yet. Snowing steady now. Should be touching down in the Bar shortly.

A smattering in south Sligo - a beautifully chilly day and some more dark clouds looming to the west.

Hi Pretzil, that hill looks sorta familiar, near Ballymote?

Its justified for local disruption throughout the northwest on minor roads etc, you may see nothing in your own area but others might see plenty.

very volatile up here in the South Kerry mountains. Dramatic hail shower then sunshine then dark again. My three layers of mountains to the North have increasing snow cover the further back they are.. gee! see the weather map on met! lol! And an orange wind alert too! ;) Ah well. time here to light the range and get the soup going... drop in by all means but bring wood or turf with you!

Same here in north cork! A bit disappointed as conditions seem good temp and dp wise. Maybe later after dark some heavy showers as that's usually when we get any,

Bucketing down here in Ballina, I don't relish the trip home to Tuam this evening :(. One of the lads here at work wrecked the side of his Audi A6 on the way in this morning after losing control.
