Will this have anything left for South Dublin by the time it gets over the Wicklow/Dublin mountains?

Snowing here in west Clare at a temperature of 1.4c. Not sticking due to wet sufraces.
There was some monster hail earlier.

Slight layer of snow on windows.

Plenty snow in the past hour here just north of Cork City

There's a nice big dark cloud looming over Dublin from the south-west. Hopefully now the temperatures are dropping a little bit it'll be higher quality snow.

Lovely heavy snow shower there in Douglas Cork. Sticking on grass. Looks like more to come. .

Stopped in Glanmire now. So low down here that the sun has already set and it might just be starting to freeze.

More could be heading for Dublin in the next hour or so. The wind has gone more westerly so this should help somewhat.

If it holds together, I would say the south side of the city should see a decent smattering of snow. The upper reaches of the M50 will be rather hairy if the snow keeps up the same intensity. Would lead to a very hairy M50 rush hour in the Dublin foothills.

It may just skim to the south though - Bray to Arklow is looking good, at present intensity levels though

And as quick as that shower came down it stopped. Left a good dusting on the roads though.... Hometime shall be fun!

Looks like the M50 is already hairy according to Google Traffic.

Thundery hail showers to go on top of all the snow that hasn't melted. The roads are going to be dodgy again later!

Everywhere is white now, a foggy snow falling and if it continues a bit longer there will be enough snow for a snowman.
    North Kilkenny.
