    I've been informed there is 3 inches of snow on the ground at home. There is just poxy rain over here at the moment.:

    Snowing again in Cavan town. The fritters have been out but the roads are turning white. Place looks like a ghost town.

    Amazing difference driving from Dublin city to South Dublin. Nice snow cover around Dublin 18. 0 degrees


    I thought to myself.."Jaysus 18.0 Degrees! That is a big difference in temps!" :D

    Yeah poor enough so far but a heavy band of showers just off the coast and approaching on the radar, fingers crossed.

    So I drove 6 miles down the road to the coast and there is no snow. Quite weird.

    big shower over the midlands is losing its intensity fast as it moves east, a few flurries may survive by the time it gets to me.

    After this I reckon showers will become confined to the west.

    We did get a few heavy snow showers with the winds causing temporary blizzards in mitchelstown co cork. Also noticing a few lightning strikes with this weather event on the lightning detector on netweather.
