Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for a book publisher/agent

    hi,
i'm looking for a literary agent or book publisher for a very unique book. I had hoped to complete a draft manuscript before I found somebody, but given the nature of the book I'm more than confident that a detailed proposal will be enough. I had found a book publisher who's website focused on authors that could create something from their own unique circumstance. I really wanted to find them again but cant. If anyone could point me in the direction of an agent or publisher it would be greatly appreciated. Particularly that one.

    Multiple genres, international appeal, non-fiction

    Sorry for the ambiguity

    Thanks

A bit more detail would help here. What genre of book? What's it about? What is your track record when it comes to writing?

Am I to assume that you haven't actually finished a first draft yet?

Any publisher which is actually looking for authors is a scam. Real publishers have a slush pile the size of Mount Everest of submissions.

The only circumstances in which a publisher is likely to be interested in an unwritten book is if you are a celebrity, or if you have done something amazing, which has an immediate appeal - in which case they are likely to assign a ghost writer to you.

The writers and artist year book is a good start. Also writing.ie has a good bit information.

Find in public or university library: Writer's Market.
