    sorry, i meant Gavin was listed as being qualified for Cat1, as in had met the qualifying requirements, not that he was doing any of the SS or doing any racing at all. he's in warmer climates at the moment anyway

    i hope so, had the unpleasant experience of being stung in the face a few years ago, don't fancy that happening again...

    Anyone know what class of jellyfish they are? I think it means the water has warmed up but then with rain forecast it might cool down again a tad which could send them back out - or is this wishful thinking?

    Eh sorry? Surely the race team is going to arrange for an inspection and trawl the swim course for jellies? Last year one of the long distance swim events coordinated with DLR coco to have the bay at seapoint trawled and cleared out - was a couple of hours work tops. it's an activity the local councils have to do regardless so makes sense to tie it in with an event.

    it has always been in the hotel on sat, haven't heard anything mentioned of it being moved

    I've never worn my wetsuit before (except in the B2R pool)

    I haven't sat on a bike in two weeks.

    I'm pulling out before the run.

    i'll be in way too much pain running up dunlicky hill to even consider looking at the views:D
