Sasha's a star it's hard to believe she's only 23. She could be around for years to come. She plays her sneaky, bitchy heel character perfectly. I've never really been a big fan of Charlotte. She's ok in the ring but she has no character to speak of aside from being Ric's daughter. With Crowe I find myself wondering what the hell kind of gimmick it actually is. As for Bull I do get a giggle out of his entrance music with people just shouting "BULL". Not sure why. He's a bit rubbish apart from that.

Just made me think after this year's Rumble with Goldust coming out with his "Shattered Dreams" after Bryan was eliminated, could imagine Bull coming out after Bryan gets eliminated. Since everyone will be shouting "Bull" anyway, though maybe an extended version

I quite like Bull. He's a throwback in a way. I enjoyed his brawl with Baron Corbin on the special too

That bloody singlet has to go though. Awful.

    Anyway, spoilers;
Thanks to Brian Hatch for texting the following WWE NXT live event spoilers from tonight's show in Columbus, Ohio. Some of these matches were taped for a future airing on the WWE Network.

    * JoJo was the ring announcer. It's a packed, rowdy crowd and they are ready for some wrestling.

    * Corey Graves came out to kick off the show as the host. Triple H then came out to a big pop and a "holy ****" chant. He also got a "thank you Hunter" chant. It's announced that they are taping the event for the WWE Network.

    * Hideo Itami and Finn Balor defeated The Vaudevillians in a very exciting opener. Itami got the hot tag and pinned Aiden English for the win. Itami and Balor were very much over with the hot crowd.

    * Alexa Bliss defeated NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks by count out. They both got good reactions but some of us are aware that Bliss is from the area. Bliss getting the upset was a good hometown moment and got a pop.

    * Tyson Kidd comes out with his WWE Tag Team Title belt and gets a huge pop. Baron Corbin also gets a good reaction. Corbin is usually the most over in his matches but Kidd had good reactions all throughout, including a "meow" chant. Corbin ended up getting the win after catching Kidd in End of Days. Fans booed Corbin after the win and he played the heel role well.

    * NXT Tag Team Champions Murphy and Blake are out next. Carmella, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady are out next to a huge pop. The crowd eats up their pre-match promo and Carmella looks great. Blake vs. Cass is next. Fans chanted for Blue Pants to come out early on but unfortunately she didn't appear. Blake rolled up Cass while he was distracted and grabbed a handful of tights to get the win.

    * The Connor The Crusher video is shown.

    * Big Show is out next to huge heel heat. Ryback comes out to not much better and we have a match. Fans start with CM Punk chants. This match is not wanted at all it seems. Ryback tried getting a "feed me more" chant going at one point but the crowd responded with CM Punk chants. They go to chanting for Blue Pants again. The highlight of this match is the chants easily - "NXT" and "please retire" chants at Big Show, also "we want Divas." Ryback ended up getting win with Shellshocked. Very interesting match here, the crowd made it.

    Intermission

    * Kalisto vs. Tyler Breeze is up next. Breeze gets a big pop and got the win with a Beauty Show. This was another very competitive match with lots of good spots.

    * Ric Flair is out next to a pop. Flair praises Charlotte and introduces her. Bayley is out next and we have our second Divas match. They chanted "better than Reigns" at one point. Charlotte gets the win with Natural Selection but Bayley was over more. Flair comes in and hugs Bayley after the match. Charlotte also shows respect.

    * Alex Riley vs. NXT Champion Kevin Owens is next. They both got good pops and Riley is fired up. Owens was over big time all throughout and won with a powerbomb. After the match, Owens went to powerbomb Riley on the apron but Finn Balor made the save. Balor and Owens brawled to a big reaction.

    * Sami Zayn came out in street clothes and cut an amazing promo about how proud he is to be in NXT and being proud of the rest of the locker room.

    * Adrian Neville vs. Cesaro is the main event. This was an awesome match, definitely the match of the night and will easily be a match of the year contender. "Push Cesaro, he's too Swiss" was a big thing here. Cesaro ends up getting the win with a Neutralizer after a crazy back and forth finish. I hope this one airs because the whole match but especially the end was must-see.
Big Show/Ryback sounds like good craic :pac:

A leaked lineup shows they taped stuff for TV at it:

odd that they only recorded certain segments for tv (and one just for DVD it seems)

is that a regular thing in the Full Sail tapings?

Lufisto was the woman with the red hair in the front row in that Youtube video. Came from the same scene as El Generico and Steen:

    Locker room morale report:

Demott used to routinely tell Enzo to kill himself.

Even on tough enough bill demott came across as a dick. I mean austin and Booker weren't nice the whole time but it wasn't personal as far as I could see.

    ???

No idea what you are saying. Demott's hatred of Enzo WAS personal. Enzo was friends with the old NXT Strength and Conditioning coach.

I was just saying that on the last season of tough enough he came across as an insufferable asshole.

Agreed. And he seemed to have a personal dislike for that long haired blonde guy (name escapes me) to the point that it was uncomfortable to watch

Sorry Rovert I probably shouldn't have quoted the post that I did which made it a bit confussing.

No worries sorry if my reply was short too. My Twitter DMs are on fire. This is dredging up a lot of feelings from people and I getting the brunt of it.

Makes you wonder if Ivelisse was abused by Demott. Can't see a girl with her temperament taking it from him and would explain why WWE fired her considering she is one of the most talented females they have ever had. Never believed all the stories about her bad attitude. I mean she was probably very confident in herself but that's hardly a sackable offence. If it was then most of the roster would be gone

That stories on her attitude are true in so far Paige no so subtlety referred to her on Jericho and others podcast's about Ivelisse and Shaul Guerrero being exceedingly mean to her when Paige first got to FCW. Ivelisse also got loads of heat in TNA and AAA which lead to short stints there. There's one person I know with an impeccable character who works with her for the SHINE promotion who said the stories of her having an attitude are untrue. BUT in FCW I heard a bunch of people say that she was fired because of her poor attitude when anyone said anything negative.

Really? That's a shame to hear that. She has so much talent and could have been a star.
I guess she needs to learn how to keep her gob shut then.

Unrelated but I really wish WWE would hurry up and sign Athena

Never heard that they had any interest in her but they should. She's like Naomi except she figured out how to put together her natural athleticism in the ring and become a good worker.

Meltzer more or less said this post word for word in his audio today:

This and also she just oozes charisma and personality too. The one thing Naomi lacks

What homegrown NXT guys have actually amounted to anything?

I like Enzo Amore and Baron Corbin (he still needs a lot of work though) but other than that, everyone else worth anything seems to have been signed from the Indy scene. Maybe give them Tyler Breeze but he had three years experience under his belt when signed. All the homegrown guys seem to be dreadful. Not much of a development facility based on the lack of homegrown stars.

It's too early to say, really. It's as important for developing indie stars to WWE method anyways.

    I think that's fair enough.

Charlotte would be homegrown no? Rusev to? As I said before the performance centre and revamped NXT is in it's infancy. They spent a lot of money in talent development and who could blame them for wanting to push all the indie talent first, so they can say it was money well spent. It give them a little breathing space when it comes to shareholders are asking for results. I reckon in the next year you will see a few more homegrown trickle into the mix slightly.

I love NXT. I don't even watch Raw any more.

NXT fills me with the feelings I had as a child watching WCW, wrestling should be fun, not a slog.

I don't suppose any of this show they did in Cleveland last night was taped? Finn Balor wrestled Cesaro and that is flipping dream match stuff.

Rusev isn't a Performance Center guy he is more the setup before that. I'll grant you Charlotte but there's a lot of holes in her game.

They really started to push indy talent as they realised their own trainees and Demott's regime were producing results.

As I said only a few trainees work in front of fans and a very, very few actually work with veterans.

    What about Sasha?

I don't know her background but she's an absolute megastar.

She's a wrestler and 23. Yisser clasping at straws.

Matt Bloom was the natural successor he lead the Advanced Class training with Balor, Itami etc.

I though the development system was supposed to have different classes.

Experienced performers who they want to get working their way, people with decent experience who they can develop down to the class of brand new people to wrestling.

Should they really be worried about the lack of developed from scratch wrestlers they have when it's only one portion of what they are doing.

Also pretty much every match excluding Sting v Triple H will have FCW finished or developed people in it.

    Reigns
    Rollins
    Wyatt
    Ambrose and Harper
    Paige
    Rusev

It's going to take time for what you could call the new NXT system to catch that when most of the above were the stand outs and still there at the changeover.
