A VERY meh episode this week. If you check out anything check out the Tyler Breeze match as he is wrestling hot prospect Chad Gable.

If you are watching NXT on the WWE Network go to the 38 minute mark/after the Breeze match and watch Finn Balor's promo it is very scripted and he's very wooden unfortunately.

Yeah it wasn't great.

I really enjoyed Zayn's promo though.

His promo wasn't too bad I thought, he could have looked at the camera a bit more and maybe sounded a bit more intense but not Reigns-level bad by any means.

I only starting watching NXT a few weeks before Balors debut and just watched the latest NXT now and not sure why everyone is so down on the Finn Balor promo. Seemed fine to me. He will get better at it the more he does it.Don't get me wrong, it wasnt fantastic but it was fine.

I am fairly new to him so I am calling it like I see it.

A few thoughts on others from since I started watching.......

Hideo is improving every time I see him so thats good.

I like Sami Zayn but Adrian Neville will definitely need a gimmick on the main roster. I can see why the mighty mouse thing was mooted.That may be bad but he needs something badly.

Sasha Banks is very good.I cant BOleve she is only 22! I prefer her overall to Charlotte. Charlotte is good too tho but whats her gimmick other than being Flairs daughter? Banks does the 'bitch' thing very well. Becky Lynch is a great wrestler too and seems to just need something. Reminds me of Cesaro on the main roster. Very good but just needs something extra.

Vaudevillians need to be scrapped and start again. Gimmick will never work on RAW. they would get laughed out of the building. My wife said what is that meant to be when I showed her them! She said thats too silly. I use her for my neutral view always!!!

I like Baron Corbin a lot.He is being used in the right way. Has a great look and just needs to improve on everything.

I love Tyler Breeze with the cocky model gimmick. Its been done alot but he plays it very well.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass have some great shtick on the mic. Def a place for them on the main roster in time. They look like they are having fun together and its fun to watch

Something about Chad Gable made me think he might be very good in the future. Just saw him now against Breeze.

The Ascension looked and operated like a tag team so I am glad to see them on RAW. I liked their instincts by looking mystified at Balors entrance when ego usually makes people look not impressed.

Lucha Dragons are ok too.More specialist tag teams are always needed rather than throwing guys together.

Kevin Owens will be a big star I think.Balor will be the biggest out of the lot tho. He just has 'It' that you cannot teach.2 of them are the only guys that you could see right now coming out on Raw and doing well. Sami Zayn would probably do well too but it wouldn't be a cert.

By the Way shouldn't this thead be renamed for 2015 or a new one started?!! :pac:

So now that we have all of the "NXT 5", is there anyone else we should be looking out for? Or would they be likely to debut anyone else anytime soon? I know we still have Solomon Crowe, at least

I said it in the old NXT thread but I was told that Crowe is going to debut proper at this NXT taping.

Long story short not really. Chad Gable might get a greater role. He's worth getting excited or being optimistic about. There aren't many ready for TV acts waiting in the wings. Dana Brooke could debut but she's nothing to get excited about. For all that's said about NXT women they are still very much second order things. They are first thing that get cut from shows. Alex Bliss, Becky Lynch and Charlotte were all supposed to debut two times before they actually did. WWE being WWE there's probably an element of mentally testing people by seeing how they reaction to stuff.

Like I said a while ago two very big potential stories come from the WWE Performance Center being 2 years open in July 2015. The first is that Bill DeMott and standard of the training at NXT is coming under real criticism. 80% percent of the NXT TV roster are ex-indie guys. The second is that a lot of the NXT talent signed 2 year deals in the first half of 2012 which are obviously going to come due.

Heard for age that NXT was going to run outside of Florida. Just thought it would in a neighbouring State. But no their first show outside of Florida is on the other side of the Country in Ohio:

Edit: Someone on Twitter just told me it is the same week as The Arnold so it a Triple H vanity thing that would explain it.

Man NXT was so great this week due to the Kidd/Balor opener and Neville/Zayn main event.

Balor was SO on point in this match. His best in NXT so far by far. Timing, execution of moves and selling. I wasn't mad about his selling in his NXT TV tag match against The Ascension when he was playing babyface in peril.

Dempsey/Corbin was what it was. The Women's tag was a disappointment due to the time it got and the match being a step back for Becky as she is still in the role of taking all abuse from the babyfaces. Just Bank's human shield. Following people at the show on the night given me the impression that Becky was surpassing Sasha in the pecking order. Alas.

Neville/Zayn was another great match in their series. They are still keeping it fresh mainly due to Zayn being so good at telling stories in his matches.

They did but it was for a greater good IMO given the quality of opener and main event.

There's a photo from the taping of Becky standing over Charlotte doing the Flair strut outside of the ring. Guess it was edited out.

Glad Tyson and Finn got the match they always seem to have wanted together. Kidd's New Japan fandom is bit more overt these days with his team with Cesaro but a couple of years ago you would see him tweet Japanese tape traders buying shows and talking about/to Devitt. They took this picture backstage in Dublin November 2012 I think:

It was a pretty good episode, but I felt that it kind of died a bit the further on it went. I was delighted to see the Devitt vs. Tyson Kidd match, it was quite an impressive showing for the 2 of them. I wish that Tyson Kidd had had someone like that to work with a few years ago. Sasha Banks has really grown on me over the last number of months, and I think in the long run Becky will benefit from being with her. They could have Sasha win the championship from Charlotte and then feud with Becky. Am I the only person who prefers PAC?
