I find Carmella annoying as her persona does not come across in a believable way.

I did find it a bit creepy that Blake and Murphy cost her a match and then went into the ring to talk trash, intimidate her.

Yeah there's going to be a lot of interesting NXT and GFW signings in the next while.

Besides Biff Busick there's at least two other well known indie talents at the June NXT tryout.

The Shoot Nation concept has been broken up, but they are keeping Sawyer Fulton & Angelo Dawkins as a tag team without the gimmick.

Shoot Nation was a group of amateur Wrestlers. With Chad Gable as the mouth piece.


The in above picture was Angelo Dawkins, Tucker Knight, Jason Jordan and Sawyer Fulton. On the mic: Chad Gable. Members changed here and there. The gimmick was trailed for months. Anyway the reason the group was scrapped that for a lack of a better way of saying it it was realised that Vince McMahon hates Amateur Wrestlers so the group would be a pointless exercise as they were never going to be called up to the main roster with that gimmick.

One of the delays in debuting Chad Gable or giving Jason Jordan a serious push on TV is what NXT Creative needs to find non-Amateur Wrestler gimmicks for both. Bare in mind all these guys were recruited because they are Amateur Wrestlers. WWE!

She was signed the same time as Emma. At one stage it was thought Buggy Nova and Candice LaRae were going to be signed together - they are from the same area. For whatever reason it ended up being Emma and Buggy Nova (FCW name Skyler Moon). She sucked as a Wrestler and had a horrible attitude. She was released shortly after going to rehab for an eating disorder. Anyway she had an interesting look for a WWE signee:

I thought the story of the TV show this week was - beyond NXT not making any card changes for Wednesday was the crowd. They are such a nuisance. hey went from endearingly earnest to completely full of themselves in less than a year. I don't know where they got the idea that there literally always needs to be some sort of chant going.

NXT needs new stories, new feuds, and new talent to freshen up the product. Nothing especially noteworthy occurred on this episode. I additions like Uhaa and Samoa Joe will give it a shot in the arm.

Zero interest in Rhyno or Corbin but Crowe looked pretty good here on offence and selling for Corbin. Shame he was pretty much squashed.

Balor's promo was better than usual.

Was really impressed by KC Cassidy's unnamed debut she is so smooth in the ring. Sasha owned the screen as per usual.

Carmella vs Bliss really went off the rails before the end. I can't believe the basic stuff Alexa botched. Bliss hasn't learned to move like a wrestler yet either.

Breeze & Rose showed a lot of continuity. Rose has a killer spin buster. Increasingly coming to the opinion that Breeze SHOULD be called up. His instincts are so good. The crowd cheering Itami over Balor was interesting. It was pretty clear from this match that Itami was next in line for a title shot.

Owens/Zayn's final segment was good not great. I don't want to call their feud a bust by relative to my own initial expectations and their feuds on the indies it has been a letdown injuries were obviously a mitigating factor.

Likely for time. But Jessie should be introduced as a big deal. Regal office, the whole deal. She's a difference maker.

On your man Tye Dillinger from a few pages ago. From the NXT show in Albany, New York:

Dillinger vs. Jordan was probably the most interesting match. I've never seen Dillinger before, but he has this whole gimmick based on carrying an Olympics "10" sign because he's a perfect ten. At first everyone was rolling their eyes and he cut a promo about how Albany is made up with zeroes for easy heel heat. Then during the pre-match he held up his sign and the ref snatched it from his hands. He pulled out a smaller 10 sign and continued. The ref stole the sign and he reached into his kneepad to pull out an even smaller sign.

Seemingly exclusive to NXT.

But personally have heard that he will be a rich man's Rhyno. As in he will be allowed to work indie dates and will be used very strongly in NXT. Kind of like an end boss or something. I originally posted that on Twitter last week.

He is booked out until August 1st and there's rumours of him negotiating for bookings at the end of August:

If he was signing a standard NXT Developmental deal he wouldn't be adding dates to his schedule. As WWE only lets you fulfill preexisting bookings.

Wednesday night lads:

* NXT Championship Match: Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn
* NXT Women’s Championship Match: Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch
* NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Blake and Murphy vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass
* Triple Threat #1 Contenders Match: Finn Balor vs. Tyler Breeze vs. ????
* Baron Corbin vs. Rhyno
* Emma and Dana Brooke vs. Bayley and Charlotte

So many questions revolving around this show make it hard to predict. Zayn's long term injury status is unknown. Itami is confirmed as off the show and seemingly he is being replaced. Likely by Uhaa Nation or maybe Samoa Joe. With touring taking off and no real talk of roster call ups other top matches are hard to predict. WWE is pushing Becky so hard as the underdog that it is making me thing she might win. But to me it is too early for Sasha to drop the belt unless she being called up. Also I would build to Bayley beating Sasha especially after the shows in Philly and New York demonstrated again how over she actually is.
