If your point is solely that the way they were presented on the main roster was limiting, then yes, I agree with you in the specific.

However, in the abstract, I strongly disagree with you. The act offers literally nothing. They are not good at promos, they are not good in the ring, they do not have a good look, and they are a black hole of charisma. What exactly do they offer?

The idea that because they got some slight steam in NXT means something in the bigger picture doesn't hold water, because Blue Pants blows the roof off Full Sail, Eva Marie is a white hot heel and Bo Dallas was the top guy. The NXT audience is boisterous and loud and reacts strongly to everything presented to them (well, except maybe Elias Samson).

When the topic of talent getting lost in the shuffle I always link to the point that there are only so many spots that are there for the taking on the main roster.

Where was Neville suppose to go when he was called up? Where were The Ascension suppose to go when they were called up? Where was Bo Dallas suppose to go when he was called up?

People will get lost even if they have talent

The ascension didn't have much going for them, Bo didn't have much either. Neville can still breakthrough imo.

To me it looks like that once you get on the payroll and stay long enough you get called up.

If you are good enough you get called up with a plan like Owens to set you up. If they are less sure you get called up to justify the investment in you and a chance to prove someone wrong.

The main roster is badly lacking depth in talent and needs guys who are ready to go. The fault lies with the booking.

Neville could have been given a string of wins, starting with bottom rung guys like Bo & Slater building further and further up the card until he was the level of the Ambrose/Del Rio/Owens guys now. This was done with Rusev and Ryback over the past few years, guys with less talent and less ability to connect with an audience than Neville, and the strong booking got them over. But of course Neville is short, so he can't be protected in booking.

Bear in mind that in a 7 day period between Raw, Smackdown and Raw of last week, we had three straight Stardust - Titus matches. There's plenty of spots for fresh talent on the main roster. But so long as the structure of the show is counterproductive and the guy making decisions is incessantly neurotic and completely out of touch, it's probably redundant bringing anybody up.

So there was an NXT tv taping last night at the CFE Arena in Orlando

Austin Aries debuted, as Austin Aries and he has merch. NXT is gonna be all kinds of amazing this year.

Also, Joe and Sami did a double pin or count out (cant remember which) and they are gonna have a 2 out of 3 falls match at the next taping.

And Finn beat Neville in the last match and while on the top rope did the real shooter Bullet Club finger gimmick. So yea thats happening.

It's amazing that some of there marquee names are coming to wwe. Bar James storm and Bobby roode there is no stand out guy in tna now that wwe would be interested in.

Aries and styles are these guys not too old for wwe or are they hitting there prime.

Just started watching Breaking Ground and love it!!! It does a great job of making you want to see people succeed. Carmella is awesome!! She's a real hard worker and I really hope she does well.

It also shows you how legit and tough you have to be to even considered for a deal, male or female.

I f*cking love Brookside, Regal and Albert. You can see how they've all lasted so long in the industry. Make a great team.

Corbin on the other hand is a wanker . Zero charisma and I don't see him lasting a year with that personality.

Also not feeling ZZ or the winner of Tough Enough.

I haven't really watched all that much of it but I kind of got the impression that they kept ZZ around in order to make an example of him. I could be wrong, I don't know how he's doing now, maybe he's after "getting it" suddenly, but last I saw he was still not trying too hard. This week's episode of NXT was pretty good. I'm looking forward to seeing the triple threat match next week now. Someone spoiled that in one of the other threads on here I think but should still be pretty good. Also, pretty excited about that appearance at the taping.

Don't think they are too old, your not gonna get a ten year stint outta them but you'll get a solid four years outta them. Think WWE know that they are short on star power and are trying to snap up the top indy guys who have a cult following, that's why Samoa Joe was probably signed to make money off his merch and maybe get a solid short term run outta him.

Only problem is like you've already pointed out with the burying Sting reference, I don't think WWE creative are up to it to maybe get the best out of these guys or even guys like Balor or Zayn.

Ah! Arguably not a very effective one. I thought the idea is you want to see him get his ass kicked rather than hoping he just disappears. Think they've lost track of that part.

I've honestly warmed to Corbin recently. I don't know if it was the lack of NXT over Christmas, but last week's episode was the first time I saw him wrestle and thought that, yeah, he could be a star

Vince likes his big guys and Corbin could be the next NXT guy to be called up (Andre battle royal at WM) I think. A big guy/little guy duo would be good like Diesel and HBK with the bodyguard role but his whole lone wolf persona would make that hard but its WWE and would have no problem changing his gimmick around.

Lads can anyone update me on Enzo and cass? Is Carmella still with them? Face/heels/tweeners? Are they still over crazy? I haven't watched since I got rid of the network and thought they'd be on the main roster by now

Corbin could tidy up his look a bit. The Beard and Hair need sorting. Needs to incorporate a vest to hide his unusual body thanks to the weight loss.

As a performer he does appear to be improving or at least allowed to let go more to showcase himself. He is what I like in a big guy, he is big enough to be believable in beating someone up, hitting power moves but not so big that taking offence looks awkward.

All three are still together and are super over with the crowd. I think they're still faces and should be pushed up to the main roster because the tag team division is getting stale again.

They've actually being floating the idea of giving him a motorcycle to come out on to go along with his music.
