Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Balotelli, the gift that keeps on giving.

    Thank you, Brendan.

Nobody can say Balotelli lacks effort...he's giving it his all to be worse than Andy Carroll.

To be fair from the start Brendan sounded less than enthused about us signing him.

    Balloteli is devoid of ability

I actually think Sunderland could be relegated. This is a shocking performance. It's like they're not even managed at all.

Can never understand "supporters" leaving a game at 86 mins when there is only one goal in it.

MOTM there probably puts Markovic at 3rd best player in the league.

Michael Owen's MOTM awards are so black and white.

Markovic easily the best player on the pitch today. Worked very hard and took his chance well.

    Newcastle bias.

Jordi Gomez plays like a 60 year old he has to be the slowest midfielder in the league.

    A player got sent off.

Have you ever seen a stadium empty like that at 1 nil.

It will be nice to have some decent finishers back in the side. Missing so many chances in recent games.

Today should put to bed any notion that Lucas will leave.

Brilliant, when he shouldn't have had to be.

    Yeah agree.

It was pretty easy today picking MOTM

Honestly, if we had played a team who tried to win today, they might have won.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,345 ✭✭✭keeponhurling

Excellent time wasting at the end by Markovic, got them over the line without the ref adding in any extra time to compensate.
    Efficient!

Like in the Leicester game - very very poor against the 10 man, lack of direction after gerrard went off

Lucas excellent but headless chickens like \sakho, Mignolet and Moreno could have cost us, not good enough to be hanging on at the end - same old mental fraility despite the three points

Good win, would have rather pool won 2 nil or a 1 - 1. Up to 8th now.

Sunderland are shocking. There was a real lack of fight in them today.

I can see them going down if they continue like that.

Poor game, Liverpool were decent enough first half and should have gone in with a few more at half-time but another really poor second half. Sunderland just didn't look up for it from the start.

Poyet resorted to blaming the ref from early on. The crowd has given up on them.

    Great team spirit there.

With United playing Southampton, we're going to gain a little ground.

Wins in the 2 matches below them today and it'e very tight at the bottom.

Is it time for him to go?

If he can't get the team to put a shift in, now would be the time.
