Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good places to look for a formal dress?

    As the title suggests, I'm on the hunt for a formal dress. I have a ball to go to at the start of February, and I was leaning towards a long dress, since I don't get many excuses to wear one!

    Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to look? My budget is between €150 and €200. I like a lot of the coast dresses, but I'm conscious that someone else might show up in the same one, since the ball will have about 300 people going. I'm also paranoid that some long dresses from there look a bit "bridesmaid-y". Although maybe it's just down to accessories on that point?

    My preference is for bricks and mortar shops, since a lot of dresses don't fit right, and I'd rather avoid the hassle of sending things back.

    The Bridal Emporium in Miltown Malbay is worth a look, I saw gorgeous evening dresses there when looking for a wedding dress with my sister in law. Anne is very helpful too and knows what suits people.
