Wow. Hurricane Debbie was actually a hurricane ( unlike Charlie).

I think it became extratropical just before landfall so technically I don't think it was a hurricane.

In west limerick not anything major at the moment few gusts but nothing to worry about !

Is it going to be worth staying awake for ?

Interesting that Met Eireann appear to have extended the end time of the Orange warning to 17.00 tomorrow.

Does this suggest the low is taking a different than expected track and/or moving more slowly than predicted?

    STATUS ORANGE

Wind Warning for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Tipperary and Waterford

Southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 90 km/h and gusts of up to 130 km/h are possible, highest in exposed areas. Winds will veer westerly later.

    Issued:
    Wednesday 14 January 2015 20:00

    Valid:
    Wednesday 14 January 2015 20:00 to Thursday 15 January 2015 17:00

Just drove home along the prom in salthill, had to give lifts to 2 people who were stuck out in the gusting sheets of rain and were being pushed back as they were trying to walk against it!
