Handy tool for calculating the crosswind component on the runway https://www.ivao.aero/db/xw/default.asp?rwy=16&dir=200&wst=34&gst=46

Currently 26 knots. Each plane for each airline has a maximum crosswind component number, above which they can't make an approach.

Rome Fl closed due to a bomb threat on-board a plane on the runway.

"180 passengers were almost killed when a Ryanair plane is believed to have landed on its roof in a light breeze at Dublin Airport this evening.

"The wheels fell off and one pilot looked like he was drunk, " said one witness."

Id imagine that his fuel wont last much more than 30mins. Another missed approach and hes in trouble.

Michael O'Leary claims "its all due to excessive Dublin airport charges".

Would have known weather conditions at Dub so can't imagine he'll be running out of fuel within the next hour

    Maybe.

They might be stronger but the wind direction might make the runway more acceptable.

    EI357 (MUC-DUB) Go around. 3rd EI in a row.
