EIN40X just aborted, but made a sharp left before DUB, any idea why it would do that, all others seemed to "follow through"?

Fair play to the flybe crew in the dash 8 a while ago, made it look very easy in trying conditions. The inbound EY looked very hairy, rocking and rolling all over the shop.

About an hour ago i heard on ATC that SNN was full and Dublin was sending AC to Liverpool or Manchester. That could have changed since

They tend to say that, no matter how empty shannon is.
Id say its near full now.
It handled 10 diverts the other day, so it couldn't of been full earlier.

Not weather related, that hasnt flew in days. Probably due to lack of passengers.

Surely if you pay for a flight, the airline can't cancel it just because they'll lose some money?

BA1 generally has passengers, but in bad months BA3 mightnt run for weeks.
Even in the summer it might only have a 50% load factor.

Yeah, but you cant fly 3 passengers to New York can you?
Id say they are usually accommodated on the earlier flight.

Do the PAX always get bussed back to DUB from SNN?

Asking coz I see FR855 across Laois now on FR24, which I presume is FR854 relocating back to DUB?

Other diverted flights also appeared to be scheduled to return to DUB also shortly.

That's the general trend but there have been exceptions.

Nothing to do with lack of passengers, one of the planes used on this route needs a new engine so PAX are being put on LHR-JFK planes and vice versa instead while it is repaired.

The plane was forced to abort the landing, as severe weather conditions saw up to 10 planes being diverted away from Dublin Airport.

    Up to 10 planes:confused:

Wondering what has happened to "up to 3 planes" that hasn't been diverted to Shannon. Good old Irish Mirror:D
