I think alot of people will be happy if they are even just able to go visit family.

    I'm not expecting much TBH.

However one thing I am expecting is construction to return, in some guise anyway.
The CIF issued their covid-19 site guidelines document last Friday for sites expecting to reopen on May 5th & I suspect this was done & issued in time (as they've probably been in communication behind the scenes) to allow themselves prepare as best they can to reopen & comply.

Possibly some more shops will open, hardware & electrical goods most likely, but cant see much else, maybe the 2km limit will be lifted, but be struggling to see anything beyond that.

I'm purposely limiting my expectations so as to try & mentally prepare for a lack of normality for a few more months.

I think if we keep pubs, restaurants and mass gatherings shut down for another while we'll be ok later on in the year.

Social distancing is here to stay until we have a vaccine so again that will help keep things under control.

And my reason to be cheerful today aside from the beautiful sunshine and the lunchtime walk in the park is I've booked Monday off for an extra long weekend.

Yes, no mass gathers for a good while, probably till a vaccine is readily available.

To be honest, don't miss pubs at all, must be getting old

I'm saving most of my annual leave for later in the year. Not sure if I will get to take it all however can carry days to the next year so might look to take a week in late Aug/early Sept, all Christmas and mid term Feb 2021.

That's the best thing about the lockdown for me and I don't have an overly long commute but it just saves so much time to get stuff done around the house.

Just noticed when thanking Freshpopcorns countdown post this morning that we're just a month away from being in the 100's on the countdown. Most years once we get into that stage the pace seems to quicken and before we know it we're into double digits... fingers crossed it happens again this year & we can move beyond this covid19 situation somewhat... I love the summer months & try to enjoy them as much as possible but must admit I'm already looking forward to autumn & winter now if it brings some semblance of normality with it.

My newly planted grass got some rain last night too... happy days!

The 100's is always a big milestone for me, love seeing a 1 first and then its a 9 first before we know it :)

Have the last two weeks of August booked off, no idea what, if anything, we'll be able to do/go however even ifs staying at home will at least be no work. Will be the highlight of my summer by the look of it!!

    Roll on autumn......

What a beautiful day. Smashing. Wine and beer cooling in the fridge, bbq ready to rock, looking like it could be a good day.

    Enjoy it if you can!

What a difference between Sat and Sun

Sat was picnic in the sun, too hot to sit out at one stage and then Sun was looing for the woolie hats!!!

Sounds like everyone made good use of the sun :D

No new deaths from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. \o/

I know it's early days/restriction easing numbers won't show until next week/second spike in cases blah blah... but I'm taking the win for today. :)
