Relaxing with a glass of wine as I type this. Work can wait until Monday and we even have the grocery shop done for the week ahead too... house doesn't need too much work so hoping to get some exercise in too.
    Have a good one ya'll...

We introduced finishing at 4pm on Fridays since coming back after the Christmas holidays. Its amazing the difference an hour & 15 minutes makes when finishing up for the weekend.

In my old job, I used to finish at 3.15 on a Friday, it was brilliant, nearly felt like you had the afternoon off. The day used to fly by, you'd come back from lunch and only have little over an hour to do! It nearly made up for the utter sh*tshow of a job, but only just nearly :P

Same here, in an old job we finished at 4.15 on a Friday instead of 5.15 and honestly, it was like you'd a half day sometimes :D

I usually get into work about 7am on a Friday as no kids to drop to Breakfast club or Montessori so finish up around 3.30. Missing the rush hour trains and being home that couple of hours early is a great way to start the weekend!

Just about to pack up for the day/week.

    Have a good one guys.

I finish at 4 on a Friday myself and by the time I finish I will have clocked up over 60 hours work this week so I am very much so looking forward to the weekend!!

Had more than enough 60+ work hour weeks in 2019 due to a crazy workload, doing to my best to avoid them as much as possible this year but being realistic am all too aware I will end up pulling a few mad weeks at some stage.

Did 6 weeks in a row of 60+ hours at one stage last year. I was fit for nothing after it with my head ready to implode! Honestly felt like I was losing my mind.

Thankfully I’m not that bad. We tend to have 2 60+ hours week a year, one 50+ hours each month and the rest are okay.

Already noticing the tiniest stretch in the evenings. Nice and bright today until just after 5pm, there are daffodil stems popping up in the park and I bought lawn seed this afternoon ready to spruce up my lawn's (dog related) bald patches once February gets here. :)

My lawn is in bits cause of my dog too. I need to get some seed too.

Certainly made the most of today with a nice walk on the pier in Dun Laoghaire and then down to Sandycove. Smothering with a rotten cold since Wednesday but the sea air did me the world of good.

Lovely bright crisp winter's day. What's not to like?

One of the best things about the Jan-Mar period IMO, wrap up and enjoy the lovely walking weather.

There was a definite decent stretch in the evening yesterday - helped by the fact it was a lovely clear day. We have a good few daffs starting to poke their heads up too. I went a bit mad and planted loads of them in October/November - some of them might have been too late but I'm hoping that come Easter, we'll have a lovely display of colour in the garden.

Although the rabbits have dug up a lot of them from the flower beds

Funnily enough, when leaving the office on Friday I really noticed the increased brightness. The week before I walked down to the trai station & it was pretty much dark, last week it was considerably brighter & even noticed when getting off the train it wasnt as dark... cant wait for the clocks to go forward now & we really get the benefit of brigher evenings.

A dog free walk these days are rare. But yeah it’s lovely out. Cold crisp and I even managed to see stars in the sky :)

Some amazing sunrises/sets the last couple of days as well. One of the many great things about living beside the sea, seeing the sun coming up or going down across water, is one of life's simple pressures.
