Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A few years ago whilst extending our house the heating system was changed to a sealed system.

I've never been too sure what the pictured valve does. What does the adjuster do?

There is a gate valve above on the 1/2" feed which is permanently open. Is that the correct position?

No it shouldn't be permenantly on. Close it. If the gauge drops below one down to zero then you have a leak

I agree with Dtp1979. The adjuster is just a valve on the pressure reducer. Closing it will just shut off the flow- should also be closed but unnecessary if gate valve before it closed. Hate this set up but see it too often-not good for boilers or system. Normally replace with proper filling loop or place one after it.

A filling loop is flexible and removable?
