NAS and torrenting

My NAS has a horrible torrent application, I want to continue to use uTorrent (or Halite/some other alternative would be fine) to download to and seed from my NAS. I need to keep track of my ratios and so on, which isnt possible using the built in app.

Suggestions? I feel like I'm missing something very obvious but as I'm quite ill at the moment I'm not at my sharpest. Help is appreciated. Thank you.

What built in App are you on about?
Utorrent has a ratio counter and you can change your up and down speeds etc to control the ratio.

Its not a fully fledged machine, wont run uTorrent.

Transmission is a well regarded client, you'll be able to get that onto it with a bit of work.
