    Hi,
'Hoping some knowledgeable folk can throw some light on this problem. I am trying to replace an Nvidia GTX 670 GPU with an Nvidia GTX 970 on an ASUS P8Z77-V Pro Motherboard. When installed the PC will not POST. Fans spin, PSU lights for about a second and then everything dies. Replaced the PSU with Antec 850W....same result. Reinstall old GPU.....system boots fine. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Eph.

Well, you've eliminated the PSU as far as I can see. No damage to the motherboard removing the old GFX card as you placed it back in fine, so seems like you may have gotten a dud.

Best to test the new GPU in a different pc to verify.

Thanks for the advice guys. Don't have access to another rig to try the card in. Might be time to consider returning it.....
