    Hi,
    I have an eircom phone and i want to get a broadband +phone package off someone.
    I rang ye yesterday but i was told ye could only guarantee 1mbps.

    Can this be right?
    I have an o2 dongle at the moment and i am getting 8 mbps usually.
    At its slowest i get 3 mbps.
    A very rare occasion it drops below that.

    I really want a package with both phone + broadband.
    Is there anything ye can do for me before i look elsewhere for options?

    I can confirm that 1Mb is the max eircom can offer you because of your lines distance from the exchange. Basically the further you are from the telephone exchange the slower the download speeds are.

    eircoms broadand infrastrucire is very different to the Dongle you're using now - one is fixed line (eircom) and the other is Mobile/cellular data. Mobile data works from Masts which ultimately serves a better signal to your physical location.

    hi guys & gals
    we have our broadband with Vodafone it's the €35 per month job only started contract a couple of months ago but not find it great how do we get out of our 18 month vontract
