    Hi

    I'm currently out of contract.Do I still need to give 30 days notice to cancel my electric and gas?

    Hi Umpalumpa,

    To close your account with Electric Ireland you don't have to give notice at all - if anything, in the case of moving address, it's best to wait until after you have done so, as we would require the final meter reading(s) to carry out the account closure.
    Switching supplier mid contract would incur an exit fee, but that is the only such scenario - and as you note yourself, your contract is already finished.
