Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

According to the eircom map efibre is widely available in Ennis and environs but Barefield seems to be out of the loop! Is it on Ennis or Crusheen exchange?

And is the BB as bad as I saw today!! 1mb is on line as the max but speed was more like 600kbs, or worse in other words dreadful. Pure Telecom is the provider.

    help

Depends on whereabouts. It could be served by Crusheen, Ballyalla (Ennis), or even Ruan. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any eFibre plans announced for Ruan or Ballyalla exchanges.

By your post it sounds like you're in Ballyalla's area, and whilst those figures are very low, I wouldn't be too surprised (a lot of urban ADSL2 exchanges are under pressure). I assume your distance from the exchange is a contributing factor as well.

You can check out the IrelandOffline Map for some details, but most of it is covered by eircom's own map as well.

thank you, its for a friend, that map says they are on ballyalla, and about 1500m from exchange as crow flies. They moved from eircom to pure telecom!! Eircom checker says 1mb which is desperate, ie not worth having. Would you know if eircom reduced speed when they moved to pure

Your friend should be getting more than that on ADSL2+. That exchange may not have enough backhaul.

Has she/he tried getting the profile changed on the line?
