Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dismissal 1.5 months after reduction of hours (Moving casual to Jobseekers Benefit)

1.5 months ago, after reduced my hours I made the claim for JB. Currently every week I receive cheque (Jobseekers Benefit) from Social Welfare.

From 1 of December have every week full amount (188 eur), because don't work a single day of the week.
Yesterday I was talking with my boss by the phone and I asked about the future.
He answered me that the business still is not running good and maybe in the next months he will close it.
He told me also that he has P45 from me, from the day 26 of December, but in the Ireland he will on the end of January and then he will give me it.
Of course, SW did not paid me for 25/26 of December and 1 of January because normally my boss should pay me for it, but I was released by my employer before the Christmas time, what I did not know until today.

So...I am not sure what I should do now? I should go to SW and tell about it or now send the dockets (x/o) as always in the mean time waiting for P45 and then go to SW?

You need a letter of confirmation from your employer that you were not entitled to bank holiday payment. (if you work 40 hours in total in the 5 weeks before a bank holiday then your employer is liable to pay you for it, it sounds like you didn't).

Re the p45 advise you've been told you'll be getting it but they may want you to continue to submit dockets until you have the actual form. The office you deal with will advise.

Thank you for your answer. Currently I have the same amount (188) on my cheques as I will collect directly on post office when I moved to Jobseekers Benefit. Anyway on the next week I will go to SW and I will ask about advise with my situation and P45.

Thank you again for your help.
