International cheque ?

    I lodged a cheque from the Australian tax office into my account over 5 weeks ago 
    Last week I was informed it cleared 
    Still not in my account tonight !


    Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on here 
    Is this a joke coz I'm not laughing

    A foreign cheque can take up to 4 to 6 weeks to clear on to an account. If the clearance has already been confirmed by a Bank of Ireland representative, we would ask that you call BOI Direct on 0818 365 365 / 00353 1404 4000 where an advisor will be happy to investigate this further and provide clarification on this for you.
