Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Absolutely immense, we worked like dogs today. How many times did we have 2/3 players chasing back after Villa players and winning it straight back after losing.

    Great, great stuff.

I'm a happy gooner! Well done Arsenal. It was a totally one sided cup final! :D

Villa didn't get a sniff. I don't think they had a shot on target

Unreal result, absolutely delighted for Arsenal and Arsene. The pints will go down well this weekend! Coq was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch for me.

All right, I'm now in the mode where I have to leave this thread, getting too excited now, and reading anything about it is just going to stress me out!

See you all on the other side.

    COYG!!

And I'm back, three sheets to the wind, but still!

Immense performance today, I don't think we let up at all. So many players had great performances, but have to say that the defence today was amazing, you could really feel that Wenger had completely figured out the tactics that Villa would use, and ruthlessly countered it. Massive amount of commitment from the players involved as well, you could see they wanted to keep them out from start to finish.

Villa didn't really turn up, but we also played brilliantly, when we play like that we could beat anyone in my opinion.

Great to see Theo reward Wengers faith, a lovely technical goal as well.

What a goal from Alexis, almost felt sorry for Shay Given, as there just wasn't anything he could do about it.

Mert couldn't believe that he scored, the look on his face was almost befuddlement!

Girouds goal is a trademark Giroud goal, it's a type of goal I've seen him scored dozens of times, but no one else does it quite like him.

Almost feel sorry for Tim Sherwood, as a manager and a person, I actually like him, which is rare for Premier League managers.

Now my issue is whether I should go out and get more drinks in, or do I save myself for the parade tomorrow, only live 20 mins away.

These are the days folks that we will remember. I'm here enjoying my pints but somehow still angry with that clown Mourinho for insulting Wenger and the club more than once. Be worried buddy we are coming for you soon.

    Sh*tballs...

Have to be somewhere at 7.30 tonight. If it goes to ET/penos I'll miss them.

No way around it. I am tormented about what to do. Do I watch the match, knowing I could miss out on et/penos or just miss the whole thing and follow it on Arseblog? Can't even have my phone on after 7.30...

Really hope you managed to get to watch this Pappa, that would have put a smile on your face for the rest of the week!

If I'm honest I didn't see that coming.

Watched the game with my best mate, an arsenal fan,and his dad a die hard villa fan so we didn't over celebrate in his face but deep down we were like giddy kids on Christmas morning! I'm walking on air right now and need some time to take it all in!

Have a great night my gooner friends!

Same around Cally road, the amount of police sirens is unreal.

Of course, that could be a totally unrelated occurrence in this area.

And cazorla playing 8 with walcott up front

    That was fun!

Villa never got going at all, they just tried to cross it in from deep to Benteke. Mertesacker was utterly immense in dealing with him, in attack and defence.

Coquelin had his best game for us, technique-wise. I had my doubts about that, sure he's good in the tackle and anticipation, but he delivered today, some lovely passes and dribbles through the game.

Ozil, Cazorla and Ramsey were the main men, I couldn't pick between them. Superb stuff. Fullbacks too, Bellerin is such a good outball.

    In conclusion, woo.
