I hate Paulinho, but in the interest of resting Chadli or Eriksen and on the half chance that he can play like he did against Burnley, I think we should start him in this match.

Looks like Defoe is making his debut for Sunderland on Saturday.

Jermain Defoe always scores on his debut. We always concede (bar the United game).

Defoe is 11/4 to score any time (will probably start on the bench) - he's still guaranteed to score.

Bring a wheelbarrow of cash to the bookies!! :D:D

    We'll still win 2-1.

Lloris maybe in for a busy day, Defoe may lack pace, but he's certainly quicker than our CB's. Has the ability to nestle one in the top corner. Weird seeing him in a Sunderland jersey.

Looks like Dier could be starting centre back and, according to an article I read last week, Dier is the second fastest player in the Premier League - reaching a speed of 35kph. Beaten only by Sissoko of Newcastle who reached a speed of 35.3kph....

Anytime I've seen Dier play at RB he's been anything but quick?
I look forward to watching him play in his preferred role. I like him.

Wouldnt pay much heed to those figures, Dier is far from pacey. Doesn't say how they recorded them, only that its from EA sports.

    I bet he was on a bus:D

That's madness, Dier's lack of pace is one of his weaknesses.

Anyone know if Defoe still has a box at WHL? Jermain Defoe Enterprises was the name of the box I walked passed when I had a box seat couple seasons ago.

Believe he used to give the seats to people in the local area free of charge that he met while doing his local fundraising etc. Wonder what impact him moving away had on all of that.

Sunderland are the draw specialists this season with eleven. 1-1 or 2-2.

#THFC team: Lloris (c); Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose; Dembele, Stambouli; Chadli, Kane, Eriksen; Soldado

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,910 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Vorm, Davies, Naughton, Capoue, Paulinho, Townsend, Adebayor

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,910 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Two up top, Ade on the bench!

Defoe starts as does Fletcher, could be a goalfest...

Fletcher will be looking to flick the ball on for Defoe, good header of the ball. They'll be dangerous at set pieces.

I'm going for a nil all snore fest . But at this stage of the season any win will. We need to start hammering teams our goal difference is a laughing stock, every fecking year..

Good effort, need to take a shot from outside the box from time to time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,910 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

    How did Fletcher miss that?
