Seems some people weren't happy with the Audi human wall :D
“Anybody staying in front of the car when it is inside the garage is considered as an obstruction to the visibility inside the garage unless he has to work on the car. A line of people in front of the car is strictly prohibited.”
    During practice and the race:

    The pit shutter (on the track side) must remain completely open;
    Visibility towards the inside of the garage must remain free of any obstruction of any kind whatsoever (bodywork parts, covers, piles of tyres, trolleys, etc.);
Officials must have free access to the inside of the garage.

I like this type of Wednesday, feet up with a nice cold drink watching Le Mans qualifying.

Looks pretty wet tonight... does that mean grid order will be based on yesterdays times (or was there a session earlier today?)

    and red flag out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,510 ✭✭✭Killinator

Even the safety car is all over the shop!!!
    This a bit damp alright.

It'll be the running order after last night.

If he'd ended up in the gravel he'd have looked a bit silly
    but held the slide nicely

Pity to see them all sitting about in garage

Cars now going the bones of 300kmph on a track that would have a safety car crawling around on in F1!
    Good stuff.

Anyone want to throw up the streams that are available? Are Audi doing live streams again? I've got my Eurosport player, 2 iPads and a computer all ready to go.

Such a dilemma between the Ireland match, Le Mans and Formula One qualifying here! Think I'll watch the start of the race, then watch the match. Watch F1 on record later on in the day when Le mans quietens down and I also want to watch the Portugal match later on! Surely I'm not the only one frantically flicking between sports these days?! :pac:

So its chucking it down at the start line but dry around the back of the track. Going to be a interesting first few laps.

Going to say We will see a red flag at some point.

They won't beat the amount of miles completed but I think the lap record will be beaten.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,412 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Pity it's a safety car start but understandable hopefully it dries up for the evening, haven't seen forecast though

Going to try watch all three, on laptop and TV, I suppose at least qualifying action won't be for another hour towards the end of Q1

    Started behind the safety car.

No dilemma here. Currently have the laptop for live timing/Autosport live/internet, iPad for RLM studio stream, Surface for the standard feed, and the phone for the Ford feed.

Toyota from 4th to 1st in One lap.

They are racing like it is a sprint race. When will they need to pit first?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭Grim.

lotterer just did a 3.29 on slicks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭Grim.

This is great stuff, race director could do with sticking with the front, has missed a few passes!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,504 ✭✭✭Harika

The SC has refuelled so all good. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,504 ✭✭✭Harika

And for the sprint racing, usually those cars break down and the conservative driven car wins e.g. the Audi

I just had a look at Oddschecker, no-one's offering in-play betting on the Le Mans 24H.

I'm in the pub what happened? Still loads of time to go!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,598 ✭✭✭rizzodun

They're well down, 3rd last in class, but lapping well now, plenty of time to go though.

Only just switched on because I was in work, so it'll be the first LM24 in 5 years I haven't watched from start to finish...

A lot of electrical problems from water leakage. Team says it's been resolved now but still pretty far down the order.

Looking like Toyota v Porsche for now, both Audi's dropping laps for an issue with the light-up side numbers, and the 7 had a Turbo issue.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,091 ✭✭✭afatbollix

Porsche now in with the light up numbers too. Loosing loads of time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,510 ✭✭✭Killinator

It's all falling into place for the number 6 Toyota now!
Long way to go yet though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,091 ✭✭✭afatbollix

Audi #7 back in the pits. No idea why.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,762 ✭✭✭✭Inquitus

I think Toyota deserve a win tbh, long, long way to go though.

Even though they won the WEC a few years ago I almost forgot they could win this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭Grim.

if the #7 or #8 cant win then c'mon the #6

    Safety car out now

    Why's it out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,412 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

debris on the track I think and car being recovered by tractor

Porsche number 1 looking like it might be out, water temp problem, still in pits

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,091 ✭✭✭afatbollix

Loads in the pits now during the safety car period.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,091 ✭✭✭afatbollix

#1 Porsche still in the pits. Must of lost about an hour now. Think thats them done for the night.

Yeah, it's just about getting it back out on track now.
    2 Toyota's v 1 Porsche v 1 Audi

Can all change very fast, the number 1's problem came from nowhere
