Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    2 aux belts: 20 euro

    depreciation: +/- 3 euro

plans are to keep it roadworthyish until the summer and sell it on or scrap it if something that costs more than 100 euro and a days work gives up on it... currently in the early stages of timing belt roulette. Only one year overdue but it looks grand.

Just curious, what are the other upgrades? When I had an A4 I was spending similar, ignition coils, oil, my god it loved oil, I'd never buy another one. Beautiful to drive, but a pain on the bank account, I was driving a 2.0T, 3 year old when I bought it, 50k on it at the time, shíte car tbh. Went jap after that, and all I do is service them now. Aside from insurance, and tax, a service is all I have ever had to do on the wife's Honda.

    Ill get my list.....

    Door warning lights
Sat Nav radio X2 (1 died on me, had to buy a 2nd)
    Chrome door sills
    Footwell lights
    OEM Reversing camera
    Tinted windows
    Upgraded 18" alloys
LED white lights in the interior
    Cruise control
Chrome window, boot and mirror switches
    Chrome pedals

Some of the others were bits and bobs like cutting polish, shampoos, de-tarrer and waxes etc.

    Mainly its all detailed here

Well here is my list for the Accord:

October - 2.2k spent on buying the car
    October - 280e on tax
November - 750e on having the timing chains replaced
December - 50e on diagnostics as feck all power after chain replacement
    Start of January - 2 rear tires - 70e
Start of January - car smashed into (not costing me anything tbh)
Insurance costs from October to now - 210e plus 100 odd deposit = 310e approx.

    Things left to be done:

    Need wipers all round.
Discs probably need replacing (Steering wheel vibrates when braking)
    ARBS are gone
Satnav disc reader not working, need to get it repaired.
    Tax - 280e
Gun to blow my brains out - priceless.

    Good idea for a thread,
    Citroen Saxo 2000
Front passenger door and rear offside door are jammed shut, It just spend 3 days at a mechanic who didn't want to fix it, I got it back today and took off both door cards, stabbed my hand with a screwdriver and swore a lot but can't fix it so it is going to a different mechanic on Monday, I will update then!

I got my car back today, it took 4 hours labour, the central locking jammed the locks in position so they had to take all that apart to even open the doors, sounded like a nightmare of a job!
€260 it needs a service next so that may be cheap in comparison!

You must do very little miles, how's the cost /km almost the same between a 3l and 1.3 ???

My 2007 Tucson didn't cost anything except regular maintenance.
