Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone know of any Irish sites that retail screws to the public by specific quantity, dont want boxes of 200? Just need a few bits and pieces, mainly 4off M4 x 15mm CSK head screws for Speedplay cleats. I know I can get them on CRC but 6.50 for 8screws is mad. I know there's labour and postage involved an all that though.

Builders suppliers store and a hacksaw/file if you've a specific length in mind. Worked a treat for my look cleats M5 x 10mm I think they were.

I read this thread title "screw online retailers" and thought: what CRC has done to you? :pac:

    try http://www.tucksfasteners.ie/

though as you mentioned, asking someone to count screws in a box and post them to you may be more expensive than buying a premade box.

The postage would be more than the screws. Just pop I to chadwicks or the equivalent, avoid woodies etc as DIY stirs charge multiples of what builder providers do

Presumably you're looking for stainless steel?
You wouldn't be likely to get those in a hardware store.

I've used boltsandnuts.ie before when I needed some. They're happy to sell in whatever quantity you like but the website says they only post orders over €20 (I called into their shop just off the m50 when I was buying).

They were friendly and had a great selection

But boltsandnuts.ie have a €20 min order,so not much good unless you go into the shop in person.

How urgently do you need them? I can get these in Caulfieldindustrial here in Galway and throw them in the post for you, but I probably wont get them till next weekend. Caulfields do just about any size of stainless fasteners and are very reasonably priced.

Edit: jamesd may be able to pick them up for you if he's working in Galway anytime soon.

I went into Woodies in Navan today and got some. They're not ideal though. Flathead screwdriver to tighten. Also, just zinc coated, no stainless there. Will just grease them up and give them a try.

Thanks for the offer Will. I'm just using them on shoes I use on the turbo so they won't be essential items. Dealt with Caulfields before in my engineering days. Nice crowd but expensive. All top quality stuff in there.
