You're at home rubbing you bum? I spose it would be sore after talking through it the whole day.

Bump - he was on about pregnant wimmin

Followed by Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now by The Smiths

Wow, Martin Fry from ABC on the programme today - and Ray talks about it as if it's a major coup for the show. Presumably D'Arcy thinks they still play to massive sold-out stadiums all over the world.........

He couldnt even announce Ronan Mullen's name without his disdain for him coming through over the radio.

Why is D'Arcy even chairing this debate when he's essentially an advocate for one of the sides.

D'arcy shouldn't chair anything- he sticks his own oar in and doesn't listen to his guests

Have you a problem Ray with ...?
I honestly hate Mr Mullen. And I don't use that word very often. But I hate that man.

Comes across as a bit of a bully alright. Always starts off reasonable and then winds up into full throttle - any time you'd hear him.

I can just about envisage this week's production meeting...

D'Arcy: "I need to push my abortion agenda. We haven't had a discussion about it for at least a couple of weeks. I know, we'll get Ronan Mullen on and then I can read out loads of negative texts about him afterwards".

To be fair to Ronan, what he says is always unpopular because he represents Catholic views. But I love the way he's feisty and wont be talked down. He's a fighter.

Sorry, but hes a bully of the highest order. I hope the negative texts roll in in their thousands.

I'd put D'Arcy in the same category.

Darcy getting put in his box AGAIN

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,217 ✭✭✭bobbyss

Ray being bullied. No real response from him. Mullen is a barrister I think.
The difference is very clear in aptitude.

Wow, Ray being ripped to shreds now...

D'Arcy way out of his depth. His popcorn, populist views dont hold up against a seasoned debater.

    Selected texts to the rescue!

    Selected texts to the rescue!

One text from Will and another from Jenny, and two from Tom and Kate.

He talks out of both sides of his mouth.. that's the problem. And he is a bully. Ray was quite right to challenge him as to his responsibility as a public representative. He has a duty to represent all the public's views, not just his own private agendas.
