He has someone on now who had a tumor ages ago, but is still alive. That's seems to be why they are on the radio.

Talking to that man with a tumor, did I hear €200,000 per anum + Ray say something about his health as getting 'worser and worser'.
Please God don't tell me he said that.

Switched off as soon as he came on, but you can bet your house that's what he said.

    Unbelievable.

I didn't hear that but it wouldn't surprise me.

Earlier in the week he went all posh. An 'orrific story. Theee 'otel. Theee Aitch ess ee. What happened to A horrific story, The hotel and the Haitch ess ee?

I listen to him rarely. What I have always found so surprising is how poorly spoken he is. You would expect a major radio (and TV) personality to have a well developed speaking pattern and generally to be well spoken and literate like Pat Kenny, Turbridy and so on. But instead he comes across as someone who sounds, for example, as if he has never read a book in his life. He sounds as if he left school at 13. I couldn't ever imagine him being successful across the water. Not with that accent and speaking so poorly.

So I am baffled as to how or why he gets paid so much. I think there are dozens and dozens of radio people at all levels, national and local who are much better.

I saw you giving away a giant basket of crisps as a prize at the weekend, Ray. Does this mean you will be keeping your pious, pontificating lectures about the evils of salt/sugar to yourself in future? Or are you gonna be a complete hypocrite as usual?

But he's not, he's not, he's not, ya see it's not till 11/11. He even yoked the poor woman about it even though the place was full of 80th balloons!!!
    What a tool....Ray, not you..

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,747 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

I waiting for someone to text in his show and say they missed the Ray Darcy show as they were watching the rugby and did they miss much...apart from death, depression, cancer, Olympic boxing fixing...
