That was some sh1te today.

I gave her 10 mins after the news , the same as I do with anyone else.

Came back later and.

An ad for the "Ray D'Arcy" show on today. With Kathryn Thomas asking the questions. And then you listen to the show and Brenda is presenting. Absolutely ridiculous waste of money.

How many weeks has he had off at this stage, it really is beyond a joke what a holiday camp that f**king RTE place has become.

Now that they think there is more money around they seem to have gone back to the secondary school length summer holidays for their "stars". This despite RTE's current disastrous financial situation. The argument that it is a conspiracy on the taxpayer for the benefit of an overpriveleged, interrelated bunch of hypocritical luvvies does not seem unjustified.
Root and branch reform is urgently needed. The sooner the better.

Public service broadcasters are often unpopular because the element of being coerced into paying for something like that is annoying.

I think people would accept a slimmed down RTE with with just radio 1, RnaG, RTE1 and anything else deemed vital to us as a nation though. RTE2 and 2FM should be done away with immediately.

It's the wages of the likes of Darcy, Duffy and O'Callaghan that really piss people off though. There are better presenters on my local community radio station.

I would prefer to keep those stations. It gives a greater choice.

Judging by your previous posts it is clear that you have your head up RTE's arse so that does not surprise me.

One only needs to look at a week of RTE 2's nightly output to realise that most of its programmes are foreign imports. What does the Big Bang Theory have to do with a public service broadcaster's remit?

Was watching the latest Sasha Baron Cohen vehicle, "Who Is America?" last night. While it's weak overall IMO, one character was discussing his new book in his intro, the tile of which was:

Masculinity and other Hate Crimes.

Not fully grasping satire, I can imagine Ray, Ciara Kelly, Norah Casey, and Dil rushing out to buy it in Easons Waterstones.
