The debate on Monday's Liveline about cyclists on country roads holding up traffic came to mind when I saw this...............

Tell me if i heard this right, did Ray have it out to tender & nobody could be bothered 'arsed' but Ray's gonna design the mug himself this w/end, even after Duncan had said he'd rather judge it instead :p

    I guess it's pretty apt that a 'mug' design a mug :D

Not a fan of Dempsey at all but the little digs he has at Darcy here are class. Raymond will not be impressed.

I still find it very hard to believe that they were "good friends"

I would t give it too much thought, to be honest.

I do think D'arcy is running out of steam big time on the afternoon slot.

Early days yet, but certainly not making much of an impression on me.

When you see how energy sapped and negative Ray is on Radio 1 it leads one to think the afternoon radio slot is only a stop gap.

RTE suits were under pressure to get Ray working once contracted as salaries were being paid and there was no doubt in house fighting as to fire Tubs or Brendan ongoing with respect to the planned TV gig

Stop gap or not management should demand much more of the clock puncher Raymond.

First tip to avoid your car being broken in to is never put the items in the boot when you park up, this is an open invite to getting robbed, always place them in the boot prior to parking up.

    No great achievement, in fairness.

At least he brings a bit of life to the show!

Darcy should be doing funeral home FM!

I think Dave is doing a good job, I'm not his biggest fan but he's coming across well.

I like him, he takes his job seriously and he knows his conversation topic limits (although you could argue his conversation speed limits need tampering with!)

He has an encyclopedia of knowledge of the music/film industry and it is a pity RTE haven't used that to their advantage over last 15 years with a series of tv interviews with musicians/actors but maybe it was his choice to steer clear of tv.

Still well overpaid though but you can't blame him if RTE are so naive to pay average presenters silly salaries.
