15.40 for An Nuacht today...if I was the newsreader for every time Ray was late I would add in a few more news stories before handing back to him.

And as for Jennys good idea of having first time grand parents on,I am glad someone took responsibility for that one

Yes. They did do a lot of research for it and cast a wide net for participants. One Grandparent was a member of RTE staff.

    It's a disgrace, Joe!

Ray is sooooo (self-admittedly) cynical about Father's Day that he spends the first five minutes monologueing about it.

    Right so.

I'm sick to the back teeth of all the ads everywhere for it.

I'd love to be able to bury my head and someone wake me when it's all over.

Ray is being awfully rude to this priest.

What's the priest being interviewed about?

ray is so anti church , one of the first things he says to priest you were abused by priest and then became one , ' i cant understand that' - quiet strange why to start interview

    he has a point though

if he was abused by a bank manager would you be surprised if he then decided to work in a bank ? i am not very religious but bad priests are only a small part of church.

Well yes I would. Why be reminded every day of a horrible time in your past?

If the entire banking system including its international Hq were involved in moving the bank manager around , evading capture and allowing him to anally rape more customers then I would be surprised if one took up a banking career in that specific bank

Apologies Welsh, got a bit confused there.

    My apologies.

Good to hear something different from Counting Crows for a change, rather than 'Mr. Jones' for the millionth time.

Kathryn Thomas doing a good job sitting in for Ray...even if she was a bit late going over to Nuacht :pac:

fecks she off to with her "warrior" statements?? the guy was a soldier in Iraq ffs this is the typical brainwashed army wife & view of the american army as some sort of hero's and world savers

Was Katherine in the states for a while? That's some accent she has now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,065 ✭✭✭✭Odyssey 2005

She's VERY hard to listen to.

A lot of people are shuffling uncomfortably at their desks now (in those thousands of offices we always talk about where D'arcy is on;)) in the fear that they will have to discuss their private lives with the guy in the next booth:p

Interesting start to the show, straight into a piece from a magazine Katherine read in the hairdressers or somewhere....are the researchers off this week too?

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,420 ✭✭✭✭sligojoek

Italia '90 again. Who needs researchers.

Kathryn Thomas is worse than Ray, and that's saying something.

Couldn't believe they did a piece on the balcony collapse AGAIN today. Will they ever let those poor souls rest? It's been in the radio for 10 days solid since it happened, yet they felt the need to talk about it again today.

RTE loves the misery porn don't they.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,406 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

Wonder which programme will be the first to do a ' feature' from the LE Eithne in the Med?

    Bound to be one soon.

No way could she be worse, it's impossible.

One thing they could stop is that stupid email bag and put AM out to pasture.
