I'm usually not one to enjoy swipes at D'Arcy by the likes of Republic of Telly, Savage Eye, etc, but have to say, Mario's pisstake of Blackboard Jungle was brilliant.

I thought it was very good - cycling helmet and all. :)

Add Grace Jones to the list, don't have her first though, there'd be nothing left for the other 2 when she finishes.

WTF would some loser who spent a year in bed know about happiness?

    Darcy is obsessed with depression

Next up a terminally ill man

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,065 ✭✭✭✭Odyssey 2005

Farcy shed some crocodile tears today according to the indo. Trying to Mage himself look human I suppose. Thinks the show is all about him !!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,005 ✭✭✭Expunge

Ehm, D'Arcy asked the terminally ill man what height he was!

In fairness, this was in response to learning that the gentleman played centre forward for Tralee Dynamo soccer team.

But still .. jaysus, can he ever let it go?

so you are "riddled" he said

so you are "riddled" he said

Yep, the man with a degree from Trinity did say..

    'So you're riddled with it'

While speaking to a guest who declared he was terminally ill due to cancer.

I think the kind man deserved better than Ray using him and being so disrespectful.

Obviously the PR lick in the Indo has selective hearing and managed to turn it into a story about Ray

    Anything for ratings Ray, anything.

It is coming to that time of year when Ray likes a good "hold back the tears....no, I can't, Im too moshional"

The run in to Christmas everything makes him cry.

Aaaand the radio goes off. What an irritating segment. Idiots shouting in the background. An American who has never used a phone before.

At least he hasn't asked them what height they are !

Is this the latest now. D'Arcy works the Saturday, so he gets the following Monday off?

He's been slow getting the hang of the broadcasting in RTE again, but he's certainly got used to the holidays.

I don't listen to the show but as a matter of interest does Herbert make any reference to his TV show?

No, it's as if he's two separate entities

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,052 ✭✭✭✭neris

If ray takes a day off does that mean the wife and the other tool get a day off aswell?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,531 ✭✭✭johnire

Oh wow. That's hilarious. Herbert is as a result of predictive text.... I genuinely didn't notice it!!!!!
    I meant to say he.

That's mind boggling if he said that to a cancer sufferer.

Clearly Ray does not understand there are two main roads from Waterford to Dublin which naturally take different routes and therefore differ in length..
