Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all. We are based in Melbourne and are returning to Ireland in a couple of weeks.
We have loads of stuff to sell. (Cars, sofas, fridge, washing machine etc
    etc. )
Has anyone had much success selling stuff before they leave? If so , what's the best way? Starting to put stuff on gumtree at the moment.
Not sure that this is forum an appropriate place but if anyone is moving to Melbourne area (Elwood) and would be interested. PM me for more info.!
    Thanks.

Gumtree. Just post good pictures, discriptions and see similar ads to set the price. Had to sell furniture recently, had it sold within the week!

Feel free to post it here if you wish. It's an advantage of the oz forum that people leaving oz are allowed a once off link or advertisement of their stuff.

    Just an update...
Back in ireland now and jet lagged!
Got rid of most stuff in a week or so. Found gumtree was the best. Sold most of our stuff through that.
There were a few facebook local garage sale pages that were decent too. Especially a kids stuff specific one.
The weekend was best. Had a few people tee-d up to buy stuff and they rented vans on Saturday to come and load the stuff up. Some of them were moving house also so bought a few things.
