    One suspects that some / most of the subscribers to this topic work in the security industry, and are muzzled to some extent by the "harm hatch, harm catch" mantra, or whatever. As a result the relative silence, compared with other topics in this domain.

    Which is the opposite of the Silicon Valley environment, where people speak freely and engage. Hence the success of this region, despite the crappy area that SFO has become. 20 years ago it stood out as one of the best places in America, almost European in quality. Despite the crap environment, this mutual engagement has given silicon valley an environment that is delivering more new enterprizes than any other place on the planet per m2.
