Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We are really going to struggle to break them down now for sure. It'll take a moment of genius or a mistake I think from Chelsea.

    Good run from Can

against the better teams, Chelsea are always really set up just to counter attack and wait for teams to make mistakes.. they dont really have the players to go an attack...they always have a big defensive spine and a few flair players imo..

Can needed to release that ball to Sterling well before he did.

Might as well blow it up...the bus is well and truly parked and we won't break them down.

Matic is an absolute beast of a player. So good in that role.

It's the same as the Monreal/Kompany incident. It's a dive. Clearly a dive. But it's a foul and a penalty. They aren't mutually exclusive.

Can fouled him, the dive doesn't change that.

Never give up whilst Mikel is on the pitch

Gotta admire Chelseas organisation when defending.

Compare that to our last man back ameteur stuff

Chelsea seriously lacking attacking options all right.

I suppose then it's Demba Ba's fault Gerrard slipped ?

Chandsome should have done the Suarez dance in front of the keeper.

Markovic never expects the ball and ends up being on his heels.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    3 on 1 that's poor from Chelsea.

Chelsea more likely to score than Liverpool.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Chelsea haven't even had to play well well but as always this season Liverpool seem compelled to do themselves no favours and give them a lead anyway.
Not a lot happening since tbf.

Sterling getting gobbled up in their midfield here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,996 ✭✭✭✭billymitchell

Liverpool all the ball, chelsea really comfortable. It really is the united game all over again. Chelsea to score a few more here

Never give up whilst Mikel is on the pitch

I thought his tackle earlier on was 2 footed with studs up at first. It wasn't, but it looked it at first viewing to me. I think Chelsea are more than capable of scoring on the break though so it's a long road back and ye will be almost impossible to overcome if Liverpool can't at least draw tonight.

    Nasty from Costa.

Chelsea more likely to score than Liverpool.

Alas usually the case when one team has to chase the game while the other can sit back and wait for the right breaks.

We're in and around their box enought hat id kind of like to see Balotelli on there with his physicality.

Chelsea seriously lacking attacking options all right.

i didnt really say that, i said they are set up to defend and then get a break....

but looking at the team they've 6 full defensive players and then a playmaker in fabregas, then 2 flair players in william and hazard and then a bulldozer up front.. so their onus is really on defensive first and then try to get a break and attack... do you agree?

Petulant from Gerrard. Yellow all day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

How the **** is that a yellow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,977 ✭✭✭doc_17

So kicking the ball away is not a yellow card anymore?

Lots of fancy flicks and one touches by Liverpool but no end product.

Willian is a workhorse, you can see why Mourinhio likes him. Great energy all over the pitch

Tell a ref to f*ck off right to his face. And get away with it.

Very sneaky by Hazard, drew the yellow very well

    Obviously with more talent!

Hazard with a touch of Wilshereitis.

I really hate Martin Atkinson. no way was that a yellow for Lucas, despite the look on Hazard's face like he had a knife in his back.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,629 ✭✭✭googled eyes

soft yellow. Feels like we'll be down a player by the end

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,570 ✭✭✭Ulysses Gaze

Chelsea are just far too cute for Liverpool. Mourinho's Catenaccio is going to be extremely difficult to break down.
