Atkinson with a very poor end to the half. Brandishing cards about like birthday invitations and really should've given a penalty for that handball. Looked like Costa moved the hand towards the ball to me.

Unfortunately Can's lapse will probably cost us. Plays right into Mourinho's hands and he can park the bus as he does so well for the remainder of the game. Going to be awful difficult to break them down, they are so well drilled and defend so well.

Some promising play from the lads but just lacking that cutting edge and we do have that look of a team without a recognised CF (Sterling has done very well though and looks bright)

Penalty was a good call- slow from Can.
Lucas yellow wasn't one IMO.
Filipe Luis yellow wasn't even a free kick IMO, but was the exact same as the one Markovic was sent off for vs Basel, which I thought was rediculous as well. Accidental contact like that should just be left go IMO.

Costa handball was questionable. Hard for him to do anything else as he was on the ground, but his hand did control it. Would have been a tough call. I thought his deliberate hand to Can's face was worse TBH, especially as he made a song and dance about how he was impeded afterwards. Reminds me of a certain Uruguayan :P

Liverpool have played well, pretty disappointed to be going in behind.

Strong half, Hazard, Fabregas, Willian and Costa all look sharp when we win the ball back, if the wing backs can get their passing together we should bring a lead into the second leg.

For the tackle, you are right..... But he deserved to be booked anyway for screaming F*ck off about six inches from the ref's face. That sort of stuff needs to be stamped out of the game.

Neither team have really. All Chelsea have to do is continue to sit back and pick Liverpool off then. While it's two legs Liverpool know the importance of not going into the second leg behind to have any chance.

Tight game and liverpool playing some nice stuff but just not getting in the Chelsea box enough, if we could move our little flicks and quick passing just another 5 yards forward, we could have a pen of our own.
