Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hazzard didn't dive.

I wasn't talking about the penalty although he certainly exaggerated his fall as players do. I'm more so talking about the Lucas incident. Surely as an Arsenal fan you should at least pretend to have some impartiality?

Hazard was fouled, so was Markovic.

Lucas and Luis should not have been booked.

How is is so hard to understand??? Lucas ran into the back of Hazard, in the middle of the pitch when Chelsea were on the attack.
Hazard (intelligently) controlled the ball, and stood his ground, and Lucas tried to run him over from behind. It was so stupid to do it. Deserved it as he was out of position, so it was cynical, the ref knew it.

Some might laugh but I'd put on Lambert on sharpish.

Need to mix it up here. Trying to play through a defense as organised as Chelsea is very hard

It would be a typical cabbage move from us if we let Lucas leave.

The run through the midfield from Can shows why we need him in ours rather than defence.

Totally impartial here. I dislike both teams equally ;)

A half to forget for can is a tad sensationalist from sky there.

Thought he was excellent apart from penalty.

    Hazzard didn't dive.

So you reckon there was enough contact to make a full grown man drop to the ground ?

It's a dive but it was a foul and a penalty hazzaed exaggerated it to the max.

Anyways that was a good half of football by Liverpool. Just need to push forward a slight bit more and hopefully a goal will come .

Wouldn't be bringing him on just yet, but if we couldn't break down the Mourinho bus last season with the best player to ever play in the league we won't do it with Sterling.

An idea I've been thinking up recently, for all matches, but I'll put it in to play for this match. A number of each of the best Chelsea and Liverpool fans on Boards should all agree to meet at an arranged time and place (with a few United fans thrown in for obvious reasons) Could all have a few pints watching the game then slap the heads of one another. The events would then be reported back to this match thread via a neutral referree type judge figure (Arsenal fan, for example) It would cut out a lot of the biased, childish comments going back and forth ruining match threads. Only the warriors who partook in the scrap would be able to comment after being given a special comment code when turning up at the fight venue. It would separate the men from the boys, the biased children from the honest men, the sly petty digs from the brave confrontation.

Just makes up for the Luis tackle where he was not booked that was the same kind of tackle the Gerrard was booked for.

For the tackle, you are right..... But he deserved to be booked anyway for screaming F*ck off about six inches from the ref's face. That sort of stuff needs to be stamped out of the game.

Costa should have about 5 yellow cards so if we are handing them out for roaring at the ref....

Well show some for Chelsea and placate me a bit then. I'm somewhat irritated at the minute as you might be picking up on.

    ;)

Would prefer Borini to come on myself. Playing Lambert would suit Terry and Cahill perfectly, we would start putting high balls into the box which Terry and Cahill would mop up.

he went down knowing there would be contact ?

Costa's passing has been poor. Ball behind the runner 3 times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,105 ✭✭✭mada999

Markovic and Sterling need to start running at chelsea's defense.. let them dive in imo

He has been abusing the red from the start of the match on every singe decision.

They all do it. Because they get away with it. A few red cards would sort them out....but none of the refs have the guts to do it.

Not playing too bad, just the same old story of lacking a proper frontman and there are few better teams at defending a 1-0 lead than Chelsea. I'd give Lambert a go.
