    Hey boards,

Can anyone recommend a decent sports physiotherapist in the Limerick area?

I was in the gym before Xmas and I think I pulled a tendon or something in my arm (inside of elbow or whatever that spot is called!) while doing a bicep curl. Doesn't seem to be getting any better so time to get professional help I think.

    Any suggestions welcome!

He is a Physical Therapist - not a Chartered Physiotherapist. Big difference.

The initial question referred to a sports injury...He is a sports injury therapist .

Yes he did , but I would imagine the injury he is talking about could be treated just as well by Gavin Coleman or Willie Hogan . But shur it's probably best to let the guy make up his own mind and give him a few options .

OP, I've been to Cynthia Murphy in Dooradoyle before for an ankle injury and found her very good. She was €50 per session at the time, but that's a few years ago so I'm not sure how much she'd be now. Her number is 304944

you dont need to be a chartered physio for to be a good physio it was a sports injury and that he deals in have a clearer look at his website http://williehogan.com/

Youre not allowed to practice as a physio unless you are chartered in Ireland. Massive difference between a physical therapist/sport injury therapist and a physiotherapist.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'll have a look at all your recommendations before I make a decision and hopefully the arm will be back to normal sooner rather than later.

My girlfriend has been to her before, but has recently been going to a guy called Paul Murry on the Ennis Road!
I think he is also a physical therapist rather then a physio but she swears by him!

I'd recommend Tony from the pain relief clinic but he's gone now. Sold the business last November afaik. Not sure if he's still in Limerick. I presume not.

Try Scott Murphy in http://www.inmotionphysio.ie/, he came recommended by a number of people to me.
