Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That hairdresser is full of her own importance

Poor woman doesn't realise that there's 700,000 people claiming social welfare. They won't be worrying about making sure they're hair colour is done professionally at €130 a pop.

Even in the midst of a global pandemic RTÉ find a way to ensure we have our fix of the lesser Carters. Jesus wept.

    The Tampax ad, sweet jaysus.

How many more ads do we need for womens nether regions? There's the one for thrush and the other one that makes it sound that all women walk around permanently soaked in their own piss.

RTE a bit rattled by the tonight show on Monday at 22.00 perhaps.

The hairdresser lady thought she was co presenting there at the end!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,504 ✭✭✭✭elperello

I thought it was a fairly well balanced programme.

I have been critical of the format before where they try to fit in too many items but it seems to work in this crisis because the Covid 19 is the thread that links all the segments.

Not sure about the schedule change though.

Why were those 2 Carter goons on this tonight?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,203 ✭✭✭riddles

Perhaps a legal injunction- well there should be for Claire Byrne live

Why were those 2 Carter goons on this tonight?

    Bit harsh.

Two good looking young men with a modicum of talent and a bit of screen presence.

    Who would you have chosen?

How is it harsh to ask why two lads, one of whom is known for singing the most appalling type of music ever invented (Irish Country) and has the personality of a wet sponge, and the other who is known for being the first lad's brother, are doing on a current affairs programme?

It's bad enough to be faced with these two on every other Late Late without them being wheeled into politics.

Perfectly legitimate question. Can't say there's a good answer to it though.

I meant a bit harsh to call them goons.

So your'e not an Irish Country Music fan? That's ok it's not compulsory to go to their gigs or anything. Lot's of people do and they have quite a following.

One of the issues bothering people at the moment is personal grooming so someone came up with the bright idea of doing a segment about it.

So the producer was looking for a couple of screen friendly lads to do the haircut slot. They had to be in the same family unit to comply with social distancing rules. Kind of narrows the field.

I don't see them going into politics any time soon but you never know maybe if the old music career nosedives.
