Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shouldn't have said "We don't want the brides to wear the masks", this is her one moment of PR gold.

Eoghan Corry talks a lot of shyte. What a shill for the airline industry.

    And he wears a wig.

I was wondering that. Thinking he looked like Lego man.

Some groups had not problems going to funerals.

Ha as if RTE and Claire would dare mention the sacred ethnic minority and their disregard for the rules everyone else has to follow.

If the victim can't be named the accused shouldn't be named until a guilty verdict is released.

Seeing as there was CCTV the whole case looks like it should never had made it to court, Syl should be in line for compensation for his reputation being destroyed.

The syl fox thing is unbelievable. What kind of person would make such an accusation

As he been asked to go back on live line? because he should,at that age to go through this, could have died with the stress before court appearance and never heard his name cleared.

Syl has never been in trouble in his whole career. The man is 87

The filthy sl*t who accused him should be put behind bars for a while imo

Someone needs to lose their job over it.

100 per cent agree, the girl who accused him should get jail. To falesly acuse someone of that is equally as bad as the crime itself.

If there was a mandatory 8 year jail sentence it would put an end to false accusations.

What is stopping her going out in two years time doing the same again.

The false accusation could have been the death of him.

If there was no CCTV he likely would have had a very different outcome.

Very true. Context is important the number of false accusations would be a small tiny percentage I would imagine but how many cases where there are no CCTV and someone gets a criminal record for something they didn't commit.

The DPP have serious questions to answer in this case.

Mobile phone communication between those involved and handset locations usually comes next after CCTV, after that it's one persons word against another.

Noleen Blackwell said 92% of men who are charged and go to court are convicted. That's a staggering conviction rate. Sky Fox was a very very lucky man that there was CCTV etc.

I think he said it was 5 or 6 weeks before the complaint was made to the guards, If so I'm amazed the footage was still available and hadn't been recorded over?

If he had died in meantime while waiting for the court case, his name would have been tarnished forever and I wonder would his accuser have gone for compensation from his estate?

Noeleen Blackwell barely acknowledged the hardship he had gone through and his innocence. They even brought up the Belfast rugby case to muddy the waters of people being found not guilty which was in a different country and totally different circumstances.
