Not really...I just follow common sense that's it's generally not a good idea to risk killing an unvaccinated elderly/vulnerable person

that interview with that loony lady was pure blatant propoganda of the highest order

she was allowed on in the first place as a way of presenting anyone who has a problem with lockdown as being a nutter

It's alarming that the majority cannot see how this woman was clearly portrayed as 'needing an intervention' because she dared have a view different to RTEs.

It'd be useful if they told us what model of dishwasher exploded FFS.
The dishwasher shouldn't have gone on fire.
Not turning it on at night doesn't prevent the frigging thing from going on fire.
I think people would like to know.
This deadly dishwasher should have been recalled.
Other people could have this dishwasher and it could be a ticking timebomb.
That segment was pretty much useless.

Watched 10 mins , mainly to see if the lady with conspiracy theories provided any entertainment. This a really bad show btw. Very dull and Claire Byrne in not exactly a great presenter, no hard questions and she seems just extremely boring and safe etc.

The story wasn't about a particular model of dishwasher as any model can go on fire.

When there is knowledge of a fault which may cause fire in a specific model of appliance there will be a recall.

The take away points from the segment are -

1 Don't leave an appliance running and go to bed or leave the house.

2 If there is a fire close the door on it and seek help ie. 999.

3 Buy a fire extinguisher and learn how to use it.

Totally off topic but asking here as it does be on before Claire.
Is there a Crimecall thread anywhere? I can't find anything using Boards search. If there isn't it deserves one.

Don't think there's one, can start one next month. Some of the recreations seem to have a budget like an episode of Love/Hate.

Was in two minds as to whether to watch more housing misery. First government spokesman/minister/general lackey speaks for 30 seconds and I already want to fling my tv out the window.

How are they expecting to pay for pensions when people who work can't afford a house?

There's been blocks of apartments bought up 2-3 years ago, some are sitting completely idle until the price of rent goes up enough for them to rent.

And then when you do buy a house you find it's lashed together and a ticking timebomb due to about 20 people inspecting all construction sites in the country.

Ah as usual the detail isn't as juicy as the headline:
"Minister O’Brien revealed that he had lost more than half of the €30,000 investment he made in a global REIT fund run by Standard Life Assurance in 2008"
