The NO side keeps saying it is not about anything that is not nice sounding.

I believe in love - what is this John Lennon debate.

How much of these No speakers are actually motivated by religious beliefs in their opposition to same-sex marriage?

There were three people in our marriage...

    Fidelma steamrolling Ronan.

Ronan Mullen isn't elected by the people. Yet he diverts to his "democracy and the people" spiel a lot. Put him in an election and see how popular he is....

He reminds me of Eoin McLove from Father Ted.

    Very little.

Most just believe in man/woman marriage and nothing to do with sexuality or equality.

    So what?

So he's wrong in saying that it won't change.

So much screeching hysteria from the No camp.

No crowd going to have sore hands tonight after all that overexaggerated clapping!

Someone please help me out here, straight couples have been adopting for years, what's the difference? Why now all the furore?

He doesn't seem flustered at all. Bemused at Mullen's dishonest debating methods, certainly (who wouldn't be?), but very calm.

No side are very loud tonight. Keep it cool Simon.

Married heterosexual couples have been having the same sex all the time.

So now the couple will be able to adopt together rather than just one of them having to do it. Big deal.

That song from the Bee Gees in my head now.

Reminds me of this glorious specimen.....

This reminds of the good old days of proper debates on the Late Late Show back in the day.

Yes, it's just a total coincidence that almost everyone on the No side happens to be very, very religious (indeed, so religious that they forget to be Christian).

Coveney is having a mare. Awful public persona, perpetually sullen as if hiding something

No, traditional marriage, where same sex marriage wasn't even dreamed of.

On this issue, we can debate it, we can twitter it, we can post on these threads, but the only certain way to ensure a positive result is to go out on referendum day and vote ''Yes.''
    Anything else is just blather......

    Claire is very very weak.

This girl had that annoying Disney twang.

They could be more traditional, doesn't mean religion is the driving force.

But you said nothing to do with sexuality.

    You don't make any sense.

The issue is not about children, and it's a shame Byrne isn't swatting the issue down when the No camp keep throwing it out there due to the fact they've got nothing else.
